Driven by the magnetic voice of Selah Sue, this project is the result of a vibrant collaboration
between the Belgian icon and the father-son duo Stéphane and Elvin Galland. Initially built
around the Gallands’ musical universe, blending organic grooves, contemporary jazz, and
cutting-edge production, the project took a new dimension when Selah Sue turned their
instrumental creations into powerful songs, merging soulful intensity with electrifying live
energy.
On stage and in the studio, this trio strikes a rare balance: the virtuosity of Stéphane (Aka Moon,
Ibrahim Maalouf), the boldness and freshness of Elvin (Damso, Helena, Manu Katché), and the
unmistakable voice and presence of Selah Sue. Together, they create a genre-blending sound
that bridges generations and musical languages.
Their debut concert at Jazz Middelheim revealed an undeniable chemistry. An album is on the
way, and a full-scale tour is planned for March–September 2026, featuring a tight rhythm
section with Louise van den Heuvel on bass, Stéphane Galland on Drums, Elvin Galland on Keys
and with Sanne Putseys (Selah Sue) and her outstanding live backing vocalists Stephanie
Rugurika and Judith Okon.
