Chris Stussy, Selah Sue and the Gallands, Josh Baker and 11 other new names!
We’re still in that fickle in-between phase where even the seasons can’t decide, leaving the dress code entirely up to us. The result: shorts next to winter coats on the train, spaghetti straps beside wool scarves on the bus. In short, one dress code covers it all: anything goes, just like at Pukkelpop. Confusing weather or not, we’re adding 12 new names to the line-up.
FRIDAY AUGUST 21
Aroh DJ b2b Otis: Experimental depth meets dancefloor drive, and right on that edge, the sparks fly. More into aerial shells, then head straight for the experimental DIY of Wild Classical Music Ensemble.
SATURDAY AUGUST 22
Selah Sue and the Gallands: père et fils Galland turn contemporary jazz into a virtuosic family affair, with Selah Sue at the center. Bibi Seck moves effortlessly between vibes and genres, while Josh Baker stands out as one of the driving forces behind the new wave of house artists. The Belgian Japanese electro pop duo Aili & Orson also joins on Saturday, alongside Greg Freeman, a cinematic songwriter shaping alternative americana with rough edges.
Go ahead and drop that new album already, Kids With Buns, because the best break up therapy happens at Pukkelpop. Limburg represent with the intense soundscapes of dance producer Niels Orens and just as intense in a different way: the spellbinding raw post punk of Witch Fever.
SUNDAY AUGUST 23
Chris Stussy brings his Linger A/V show to Kiewit: not a classic DJ set, but a personal audiovisual trip through his musical memories. DJ producer Fenrick is a true 90s kid and it shows, with hard house, UK garage, 90s trance and breakbeat. Oppidan bends like bamboo, moving seamlessly between 2 step, 4x4 NUKG, hip hop, soul, grime and UK bass. No bamboo here, just 200 percent oak: PLOEGENDIENST, hardcore and punk without compromise.
