19 new names for Pukkelpop

Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Hasselt’s turning up the heat to a sweet 24°C. The perfect setting to roll out 19 new names with sunshine in our hearts and stars in our eyes.

Friday, August 15
Blackwave. has been Pukkelpop material for way longer than today - they’re setting the stage for their third album, just like Sons who’ll also be dropping their third record this fall. Meanwhile, crossover/metallic hardcore band Guilt Trip aims straight for your gut and AliA, rising Belgian DJ/producer, flips every set into her playground.

Saturday, August 16
Glints and Faisal are making the bromance official, switching their status to Glints x Glintsal, while fans of alt-pop weirdo Still Woozy are swiping right in excitement. Obongjayar brings the soul and the swoon - Ooh, I adore you guaranteed. Yong Yello booked an all-inclusive in Kiewit - with a view on a brand-new album coming this fall. Spotting a trend here. Limburg pride and glory vibes courtesy of Whispering Sons: dark pop-punk and 110% energy.

Emo legends The Get Up Kids are flying in straight from the American nineties, while London’s Man/Woman/Chainsaw throw post-punk, art-rock, and DIY chaos into the blender. Yukimi is the solo project of Yukimi Nagano, frontwoman of Swedish band Little Dragon.

And here’s more fuel for that festival fire: Bavr b2b DC Noises, one of the most exciting b2b-besties from the Belgian underground, the hyperpop of Promis3, and Dressed Like Boys, where Jelle Denturck of DIRK. bares his soul alongside the Antwerp Queer Choir.

Unfortunately, Elderbrook has cancelled and will be missing out on all the Pukkelpop fun.

Sunday, August 17
Co-headliner Doechii, fresh off last week’s announcement, will be joined by Ão - delivering an electrifying cocktail of electronica, saudade, and alternative world vibes. Heads up: it’s their only show this summer. Also hitting Sunday: Ghent’s own Helena Lauwaert, a fresh breeze with that sweet laundry-day scent in Belgian electronica, indie folk with an Irish twist from Kingfishr and Ecca Vandal, the South African-Australian powerhouse who stitches together punk, hip-hop, and electronica like no one else.
