Festival regulations
Mi casa es su casa!
FIRST THINGS FIRST
Before the party can officially begin, you’ll need to pass through a metal detector. We’ll ask you to open your bags and backpacks and you may be searched. We feel you, literally and figuratively.
Anything on the prohibited items list below? Say goodbye to it. There’s no storage service, so once it’s gone, it’s gone. And we mean gone gone. Bring too much of the wrong stuff, like possession of drugs or narcotics will result in immediate expulsion and refusal of entry. Feeling Bad Bunny and thinking “Yo hago lo que me da la gana!”? Ey! Then mi casa is no longer su casa.
And nobody wants that.
HEART OF GLASS
Glass is absolutely, totally, verrrrrrry strictly forbidden.
WE CARE A LOT
Everyone is welcome at Pukkelpop. We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all, so any form of violence, bullying, discrimination, or intimidation has no place here. If you ever feel uncomfortable or need assistance, our security team, staff, and the Flemish Red Cross are always close by and ready to support you. You can also reach out to the We Care A Lot hotline at 011 888 18, available 24/7. For more information, visit https://www.wecarealot.be/en/
CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE
Knives, clubs, scissors, chains, or anything else that could cause harm are strictly off-limits at Pukkelpop. If your tongue is sharp, consider wrapping it in velvet and avoid speaking with a double one.
LIQUID DREAMS
Liquids and gels over 100 ml and drinks of any kind, alcoholic or not, in glass, cans, cartons or plastic bottles are not allowed on the festival grounds. You can bring them. They just won’t make it past the entrance. Nitrous oxide is also a no go. Laughmaxxing ends here.
Empty reusable water bottles up to 1 litre, no glass, and empty camelbags are welcome. Fill up for free at our water points. Check the PKP app to find the nearest one.
CHEMICAL BROTHERS
Chemicals and aerosol cans that could be used as weapons are prohibited. Perfumes in glass bottles or flacons also go in our glass recycling bin. Sunscreen (less than 100 ml) and deodorant (less than 100 ml) are allowed. Thank goodness.
WEAPON OF CHOICE
Possession of weapons and drugs is prohibited by law. If possession is suspected, the police will be notified immediately, without exception. It is also advisable to leave your hookah or bong at home. Please also be mindful of glass refills for e-cigarettes; it is recommended to find an alternative solution for these.
IT’S ELECTRIFYING
At Pukkelpop, there might be electricity in the air from time to time, but we cannot approve of electrical devices and laser pointers.
THE HUNGER GAMES
Does your mood depend on how hungry you are? Good news, you can bring a backpack stuffed with food, but not drinks. And, look deep into our eyes, we know all the hacks.
BABY YOU’RE A FIREWORK
Leave fireworks, bombs, shells, candles, torches, and sparklers at home. Do you have an explosive personality? Stay calm and count to 10.
KEEP ROLLIN’, ROLLIN’, ROLLIN’ (uh)
Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrolling equipment is prohibited on the festival grounds, with the exception of aids for disabled persons and the rolling rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr in your speech.
GO SEE THE DOCTOR
Folding chairs, medicines, and special liquid food are only permitted with a valid doctor's certificate.
GOING PLACES
Camping equipment, mess kits, travel luggage, coolers, large backpacks (+ 45 cm) are not allowed on the festival grounds. You can, of course, bring a small backpack or bag.
RED FLAG
Flagpoles, parasols, pointed umbrellas, etc. are not permitted. Retractable umbrellas without a pin are allowed, even though we always assume the weather will be fine.
MOTOR(BI)CYCLE EMPTINESS
Bicycle pumps, motorcycle helmets, rollerblades, roller skates, etc. are of little use at the festival site, so please don’t bring them. You can store a motorcycle helmet in a (paid) locker at the entrance, but please note that the number of lockers is limited.
UNLESS YOU ARE CHRISTOPHER NOLAN
Drones, professional audio, photo, film, and video equipment shall not pass. Simple cameras without interchangeable lenses are no problem. And taking photos with your phone is a no-brainer, of course.
OUR INFLATABLE FRIENDS
There is no lake, no pool, no reason to bring inflatables to Pukkelpop. Pool rings, beach balls, sofas, boats, crocs, bananas, flamingos, unicorns, dinosaurs, llamas or whatever other inflatable creature or object you can dream up are not allowed on the festival grounds. Feeling a little too inflated yourself? Head to the nearest First Aid post. Full of hot air? That one’s on you.
INSPECTOR GADGET
You may not distribute gadgets, flyers, samples, and/or other promotional materials unless you have written permission from the organisation.
PINK RABBITS
Pets are a no, with the obvious exception of assistance dogs. Party animals, cheeky monkeys, sly foxes, copycats and night owls? We’ll have a hard time keeping those out.
HOMEWRECKER
Any item deemed dangerous by the organisation will be refused at the entrance. If you refuse to be checked, you will not be allowed to enter the festival grounds.
FAQ YOU BRO
Can’t find your question here or need to know something else? Check our Info pages and FAQ first. FAQ, by the way, stands for Frequently Asked Questions. The clue is in the name.
If you email us a question that’s already answered on our website, we’ll have no choice but to report you to the Digital Internet Police.
