Fresh on Friday
Hinted at for weeks, hoped for it for months and finally confirmed today: boygenius, the American indie supergroup around Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus, is coming to Pukkelpop on Friday, August 18. And what's more, it will be their live debut on Belgian festival grounds. The magnificent singer-songwriter trio recently dropped the single-collector ‘the record’, as a preview for their debut album, due out later this month.
Also playing on Friday is Blawan, the British master of the 4/4 time signature with a nose for mysterious and atmospheric techno grooves; Bob Vylan, the highly explosive punk/grime duo and piri, DIY dance-pop in candy colors.
They will be joining Billie Eilish, YUNGBLUD, Amelie Lens, Bazart, Froukje, M83, Moderat and many more.
New on Saturday
On Saturday, 8 new acts including British DJ Nicolaas Douwma, aka Sub Focus. His breakthrough record 'Sub Focus' (2009) was re-released last year following the 30th anniversary of Andy C's Ram Records. We tip 'Ready To Fly,' his recent collab with Dimension, as one of our favorite festival anthems.
Also added: Alice Longyu Gao, the upcoming Chinese/American hyper pop phenomenon and LGBTQIA+ activist; Aquarian, the Canadian DJ/producer based in Berlin, who likes to swing between Drexcyan electro, IDM and broken beat techno; Bombay Bicycle Club, pure British indie class; Compact Disk Dummies celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut single 'The Reeling' with a limited number of festival shows; Gryffin, American melodic house DJ, producer and remixer; Joe Unknown, the frantic punk-hop poet from London and Skin On Skin, mystical DJ, producer and innovator.

On Sunday we go all the way with Anz, the all-round British DJ/producer who likes to tie electro, UK garage and jungle; Deki Alem, the Swedish brother pair mixing drum'n'bass with hip-hop, electronica and punk; KennyHoopla and his energetic pop punk from LA; Partiboi69, the extravagant DJ/producer and all-round entertainer and The Amazons, British indie rock heavyweights.
On this closing day, you can also enjoy The Killers, Florence + The Machine, Bonobo, Foals, Loyle Carner and Reinier Zonneveld, to name a few.
