Another 18 new names for Pukkelpop

Popular soon to be 22-year-old American rapper Lil Tjay is coming to Pukkelpop on Sunday, Aug. 20, with his senses set on fire. Just last year he was the victim of a near-fatal shooting, so feel free to call it a musical revenge. From The Bronx to Kiewit City. The contrast could hardly be greater but the welcome may be all the warmer for just that very reason.

On Friday, Aug. 18, we also plan to warmly welcome the people of BLUAI, Belgian pop with an international backlash, the sledgehammer rock of DIRK., the flamboyant appearance of Dorian Electra that walks the line between nu-metal, shock pop and dubstep, the spirited goth-pop of Ethel Cain and the extraordinary story of sor, almost deaf in 2018 but anno 2023 on the verge of the big break with his mix of hip-hop and classical music.

We're typing Saturday, Aug. 19, and spot Deijvuhs, who sculpts an entirely unique style of music out of drill, jungle and punk, alt soul singer songwriter Fousheé, memerapper Gotu Jim, the pop punk of Meet Me @ The Altar and the widely acclaimed poet, radio producer, artist and qualified lawyer Nabihah Iqbal.
