THE MUSEUM

It sure has been busy in the Pukkelpop archives lately: a jubilee book, a four-CD anniversary box and also a festival museum!

To mark the occasion of Pukkelpop’s 25th anniversary, festivalgoers can visit the on-site Pukkelpopmuseum for three days. Do not expect a dusty, boring chronological overview of facts and figures, but an amusing experience centred around the impressive history and many highlights of 25 years of Pukkelpop.
Where does the name Pukkelpop come from? Which artist requested edible underwear, and how does that actually taste? What does an anagram of Chokri have to do with Shameboy? What did the very first Pukkelpop poster look like? Why are the words ‘tchaheej tchaheej’ always shouted during sound checks? How many bands starting with the letter A have performed at Pukkelpop? You can find out all this and much, much more at the Pukkelpopmuseum.

From 19 to 21 August 2010 at the festival site.
Open to visitors with a single-day or three-day ticket only.
The Pukkelpop museum is made possible thanks to Hasselt University’s logistic support.
