  1. Four new names to tick

    Four new names to tick

It won’t take long before the names Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, A Place To Bury Strangers, Le Corps Mince de Françoise and Expatriate will do more than just ring a bell. These acts have just been added to the Pukkelpop poster and have been visible on our hype radar for some time now. You have been warned!

  2. Vampire Weekend and the Belgians!

    Vampire Weekend and the Belgians!

That ‘s right, you ‘re reading this correctly, Pukkelpop presents one of the revelations of 2008: Vampire Weekend! This New York foursome stood out last year with their charged up rhythms which placed their debut album high on our year-end tally. They are working on a new album so we can expect to hear some of their new material at Pukkelpop. Also new in the line-up is the Swedish Tommy Sparks who can put down the perfect popsong like his colleagues Sam Sparro and Scissor Sisters.

We are also very proud of the list of Belgians that we can expect in Kiewit. Established bands like Absynthe Minded, Daan, Stijn, Sukilove and Das Pop will present new work. The Belgian Indie scene is represented by Freaky Age, White Circle Crime Club, Creature With The Atom Brain, Team William, Drive Like Maria, The Sedan Vault, The Galacticos, Tomàn, Vegas! and Madensuyu, while bands like Krakow, The Bony King Of Nowhere and Yuko are ready to play your heartstrings and Spoil Engine will blow the speakers out. Additionally it shifts to electronic with Waxdolls, Nid & Sancy, Nitebytes (featuring Koen Buyse) en HairGlow (featuring Alex Callier). The DJ scene gets thicker with Dr. Lektroluv, Sound Of Stereo, Ed & Kim and Rave Our Souls

  3. The British delegation at Pukkelpop is becoming stronger: Paolo Nutini, Jack Peñate en The Maccabees!

The British delegation at Pukkelpop is becoming stronger: Paolo Nutini, Jack Peñate en The Maccabees!

Great Britain will be strongly represented at Pukkelpop. So far the delegation from across the Channel comprised extremely interesting acts like Arctic Monkeys, Snow Patrol, Razorlight, Glasvegas, Klaxons. Today they were joined by Paolo Nutini, Jack Peñate and The Maccabees!

  4. Eagles of Death Metal

    Eagles of Death Metal

As a result of Jesse Hughes’ and Eagles of Death Metal’s calendar problems, we have had to move their shows from Saturday, 22nd to Friday, 21st August.

  5. Eight new names!

    Eight new names!

Pukkelpop starts the week with eight new names: Maxïmo Park, Fever Ray, The Twang, Andrew Bird, Boy Crisis, New Found Glory, Bombay Bicycle Club and The Blackout have been added to the line up.
Unfortunatety The Parlor Mob (scheduled on Saturday) has cancelled.

Pay your respects

We want to make our hearts and our minds silent for the festival goers that we lost and the ones that were injured. On this page you can pay your respects for the victims of the severe thunderstorm.
