Biography

Last year The Sore Losers, silver medal winners in Humo's Rock Rally 2010, released their self-titled debut on the Dutch label Excelsior Recordings, who also provide shelter to successful bands like Triggerfinger, De Staat and Spinvis. This Hasselt foursome have thrown their favourite genres rock, country, blues and garage into the blender and come up with an idiosyncratic sound, in which influences from The Raconteurs, The Rolling Stones and Reigning Sound can be detected. Although both the public and the press have welcomed their album was with open arms, it is mainly The Sore Losers’ live shows that have convinced the audience. Their second consecutive presence on our poster is a testimony to their growing live reputation.
