Biography

There are five artists known as The Shoes: 1) The Shoes are an electro duo from Reims, France and you could say they are France’s answer to Calvin Harris. They feature Guillaume and Benalways. Debut album ‘Crack My Bones’ is due on March 7th on Southern Fried and features a number of guest appearances including Esser, CocknBullKid and Wave Machines. They're certainly well connected having produced a couple of tracks for Shakira’s new album and remixed the likes of Ladyhawke, Marina and the Diamonds and Golden Silvers. 2)The Shoes (Dutch): "Na na na" is not only the title of one of their most famous singles, it is also the name of this compilation disk. It gives you a good impression of the world of The Shoes in the late 60's and early 70's. Originally they called themselves The White Shoes, which was in 1963. Theo van Es (vocals) left the band for a solo career in 1978. 3) A new wave group from Zion, IL who had a minor radio hit with "Tomorrow Night" in 1980. 4)The shoes(u.s.): a one man act from a sleepy town in the okefenokee swamp.music includes hip hop, electronica, folk, blues, and circuit bent instruments made by the shoes himself. 5) An indie acoustic project from Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo, Brazil User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License and may also be available under the GNU FDL.
