Biography

The Distillers were a punk rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, United States in 1998. They released their first two albums on Hellcat Records/Epitaph Records before moving to Sire, part of the Warner Music Group. The Distillers were originally formed by Australian-born Brody Dalle (Spinnerette's lead singer). As lead singer she adopted a signature harsh singing voice. Although there were constant line-up changes, Brody consistently played the guitar, sang, and wrote or co-wrote nearly every song on all the band's albums. Tony Bradley also played guitar and Ryan Sinn played bass, before this solid line up, Rose Casper was the guitarist from Detroit, she played back-up guitar and sometimes sang, Kim Chi was doing the bass, while Matt was doing the drums. Brody and Tony have since formed a new band called Spinnerette. Their debut album is planned in the near future with recording underway in 2008. Ryan Sinn has also been busy, joining forces with ex Blink 182 man Tom Delonge for his much awaited project Angels and Airwaves, however Sinn has now since left due to musical differences.
