Biography

Postmen was a Dutch band that mixed hiphop with reggae. It received just about every prize there is to win in The Netherlands. Postmen was started in 1993 by Remon Stotijn a.k.a. The Anonymous Mis and Gus Bear a.k.a. G-Boah. Later Micheal Parkinson joined the group. The name Postmen derives from the song 'African Postmen' by Burning Spear. During their existence they recorded three albums: 'Documents' (1998), 'Revival' (2001) and 'Era' (2003). The first one was commercially the most succesful, resulting in several hits, of which 'Cocktail' was the greatest. When The Anonymous Mis moved to the U.S.A. in 2005, Postmen came to an end. In February 2006 The Anonumous Mis restarted the band on his own, aptly renaming it into a singular form: 'Postman'. Alyssa Wooter is the female Singer of the band. The song "The way" is putting them on to a new level the song is doing well in the U.S to User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License and may also be available under the GNU FDL.
