New Bomb Turks

Line-up

Biography

The New Bomb Turks are an American band from Columbus, Ohio. Formed in 1992, they are part of the early '90s garage rock revival wave that included bands such as the Dwarves and the Supersuckers. Members have included Jim Weber, Eric Davidson, Bill Randt, Matt Reber and Sam Brown. Their lyrics are generally humorous. While they have a large recorded output, they developed their following through their high-energy shows. The Turks started a new genre in music known as "Jock Punk" which anyone who went to the sausage fest shows can attest, it was a bunch of frat boys going Nucking Futs! They have released over twenty singles, ten full length LPs, and a handful of EPs. The singles often contained unreleased tracks that are among the New Bomb Turks' fan favorites. As of 2005, the New Bomb Turks have slowed down their touring and recording in order to pursue other interests. If you're lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, you can still catch a live show.
