Biography
Fortunately, Li Lykke Timotej Svensson Zachrisson used only the first part of her name as her artist moniker. In 2008 the 26-year-old Swedish singer made her debut with ‘Youth Novels’, a particularly attractive mixture of soul, electro and innocent indie pop. Last year this young lady brought out her long-expected second record, ‘Wounded Rhymes’. The title says it all. The formerly innocent girl sings about the sorrowful and bitter consequences of a broken heart. But ‘tristesse’ becomes her and the sadness is wonderfully countered by catchy numbers like ‘Get Some’ and ‘I Follow Rivers’. With the latter she scored a triple hit: first the original version, then The Magician’s remix and finally the marvellous cover by Triggerfinger. Her live version at Pukkelpop is sure to become a classic too.
