fantastisch optreden, tranen in mijn ogen bij Daddy's Gone - maar misschien moet je daarvoor vader zijn
History Glasvegas
Biography
In spite of the easily recognizable influences (new wave, shoegaze, sixties pop) the Scottish group Glasvegas have managed to come up with an impressive sound. That sound is pretty much a combination of all pre-Oasis records on the Creation label (The Jesus And Mary Chain, The Pastels, St Etienne), with additional streaks of genius à la Elvis Presley, early Beatles, The Stone Roses, Orange Juice, Roy Orbison and The Velvet Underground. Songs like ‘Daddy's Gone' and 'Geraldine' are still among the best pop songs of the century. In early April ‘EUPHORIC /// HEARTBREAK \\', the second album by the Glaswegian band, came out. Just in time to book them for Pukkelpop a second time.

Kan niet wachten tot er een nieuw album uitkomt! -
