Biography

Straightforward Rock ‘n’ Roll & Teutonic Technobeats Raw Power & Porn Bloopers Stonerriffs & Monstersynths FOXYLANE BRINGS YOU THE HARDEST PARTY IN THE WORLD A product of the notorious party scene in Ghent (Belgium) - a scene that over the decades has spawned New Beat, The Glimmers and 2ManyDJs - Foxylane is a dancedroneband with a juggernaut live-show and a highly anticipated debut album in the making. Foxylane started out in 2005, as a semi-comic live-act on Pop Life Parties (Ghent). The following year, X-rated single ‘Shut Up Bitch (You Talk Too Much)’ – ‘Porky’s Revenge’ meets Nine Inch Nails – became something of a cultradiohit. Relentless gigging and the single-release of the risqué ‘Naked To Bed’ and the Stooges-infected ‘Same Shirt’ gained the five-piece a superdevoted following. Pivotal moment was the gig Foxylane played at the Pukkelpop festival 2006: the indierock-crowd went ape-shit for Foxy’s synths & beats. Result: the summer of 2007 saw the nightlife-band playing rockfestivals all over the country. A triumph? Yep. Mission accomplished? Hell no. The past year, Foxylane has built a recording studio, a comfort zone in which the band is currently retreating to write and record a full debut album. Production work for kindred spirits has been done there as well (The Glimmers, ‘The Salmon Dance’ by The Chemical Brothers - The Glimmers Remix)). Foxylane are: Stefan Bracke aka Entrepreneur. Guitarist/singer, bred on Kyuss and 2 Live Crew. Club promotor (Pop Life), Producer. Jeroen De Pessemier aka Papillon. Singer/synths. Classically trained composer. Producer (The Subs). Stéphane Misseghers aka Stix. Drummer. Ex-Vive La Fête, Ex-Soulwax, current drummer of dEUS. Foxylane live-drummer: Laurens Smagghe. Thang Tran tung aka Thang. DJ (Poplife, Culture Club) Jan De Tremerie aka Dr. John. Bass. Entrepreneur: ‘Foxylane is the monstertruck live-experience. This band is all about performing. I’m crazy about all the rock ‘n’ roll-clichés. My favourite bands are the gangs that come straight from the cellars and bars, playing dirty and raw shows. And I love spectacle. Going to a NIN-show or a Justice-gig is all about being entertained, no? We want to entertain you. Badly. And with the album, we want to serve our fans the most powerful songs they’ve heard in a long time.’ Foxylane debut album: Spring 2008.
