Evil Superstars

Biography

Evil Superstars is the band with which the Belgian musicians Mauro Pawlowski and Tim Vanhamel made their breakthrough. Evil Superstars won Humo's Rock Rally in 1994, and released two obstinate records which were received very positively. After touring with their second record Boogie Children-r-us, they decided to split up. In 2000 Pawlowski released a funky singer-songwriter record as Mauro. From then on, he has been swimming various musical fishing pools, from free-jazz (Mauro Antonio Pawlowski) over industrial (Mauro Pawlowski & The Grooms) and experimental (Somnabula). In 2005, he joined dEUS. Former guitar player Tim Vanhamel started Millionaire, and their first record was released in 2001. While touring, the band became friends with Queens of the Stone Age. Josh Homme produced their second album, Paradisiac.
