Kuduro, an Angolan dance genre brought to Portugal by immigrants from theformer colony, literally means ‘hard arse’. And that is very likely what you will get when dancing non-stop to the pulsating jungle rhythms. The genre was picked up in Buraca - one of the poorest areas of Lisbon - by producers DJ Riot, Lil'John and Conductor. They poured it into a shaker with electro beats, bursts of rap and Brazilian baile funk. The result was a hot energizing cocktail that can be savoured worldwide. During their wild and sweltering live performance, taking five is no option. Shake what your momma gave ya!
