History Bring Me The Horizon
Biography
The Sheffield hardcore band Bring Me The Horizon owe their reputation of worldwide phenomenon to MySpace (nearly 500,000 friends and 45 million song plays) and to the Kerrang Award 2006 for ‘best British newcomers’. On their previous record, ‘Suicide Season’, the band were still experimenting with deathcore, a brutal blend of death metal and metalcore. On their new record, ‘There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret’, the instrumental intermezzi and electronic samples show more influences of post-hardcore. In its review the music magazine Rock Sound described the album as follows: ”The album is a bold and unrestrained body of work which is unafraid to push their more experimental, electronic tendencies to the fore and feature lyrics of a highly personal, bluntly confessional nature. It is the sound of a remarkable band establishing themselves as one of the finest of their generation". We couldn’t have said it better.
