Biography
Blood Red Shoes, the British duo Laura-Mary Carter (guitar, vocals) and Steven Ansell (drums, vocals), have found a spot on the Pukkelpop poster for the fourth time. Their ambitious third album, ‘Time to voices’, came out this spring. On it can hear a couple of rough and tough indie rockers with a great deal of ambition and self-confidence. If you like complex, elaborate songs, Blood Red Shoes is not the kind of band you are looking for. Their main influences are American punk rockers such as Babes in Toyland, Nirvana, QOTSA, Fugazi and Sonic Youth. Incidentally, these bands are our favourites too!
